Module 2: What Are the Core Values of Early Relational Health?
The core of all our work is dignity and respect in all human relationships, which creates a society in which young children and families can thrive. This is a key message of the second module of the animated video and learning series from the Michigan’s Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation.
Early relational health stresses the strength and resilience of all people raising children. Simple, empathetic and meaningful moments of interactions are the foundation of early relational health. It’s important to have a mindset of wonder and curiosity as you work with parents, asking questions like “I noticed how you comforted your baby with that special song. Can you tell me more about where it came from?”
